A quick entry for today. I’ve been busy busy busy and i have lots more to do.
I’m sitting surrounded by stuff, midway through a tidying spree that i’ve been putting off for a while. So for a bit of flavour and insight i’m going to tell you about some of the stuff i’ve hoarded.
I can see:
A small Westfield MVG 100 guitar amp, and my beautiful Peavey Grind 6 string bass (which, by the way, i cannot play at all).
A pile of empty boxes. Every time i buy something that comes in a box i keep it until i’m sure i want to keep whatever it was i bought. I’m not entirely sure why i do it, i can’t remember a single thing i’ve returned, and i don’t often keep things in mint condition. Anyway.. One box is for a Kenwood “Night and Day” smoothie maker. One for a Dremel Stylus rotary tool. Oh, there are two empty Apple keyboard boxes too. Up until a few days ago one of them had a broken keyboard in it, i suspected the controller was screwed and my suspicions were proven true when i swapped the working keys and membrane from that keyboard, into another keyboard which i spilt red bull on. I ended up with a working keyboard for my trouble, and now both boxes are empty.
I see an Ikea ceiling lampshade and two bulbs, which i’ve been meaning to install for a few weeks (or is it months?) but can’t bear to turn off the house power for long enough to do it – that would mean losing my net connection. I haven’t had ceiling lights in my room since the last set broke (literally months ago).
I see a magicians practice mat, which i use for training card skills.
I see a Polaroid camera.
I see a set of short weight bars and a stack of York weights.
I see six juggling balls.
I see my old iBook, Sukkiri – who is sadly broken. I discovered a few days ago that the screen no longer functions. I’m convinced i can fix her though. She looks like this:

I see a cordless 24 volt drill and a hammer. I used them to reassemble my desk recently. Don’t ask why i needed the hammer.
I see my Ubuntu box, which lives in an Antec Sonata case. On top of it is my Xbox 360, dvd/divx player and normally my Wii (currently on loan to my sister so she can play zelda).
I see my external 500GB Seagate Freeagent hard drive.
I see a Martindale Golok mk2.
I see hundreds of bagged and boarded comics.
I see my Xbox vision webcam, which i’ve been using with my macbook pro to scan barcodes for Delicious Library.
I see two rolls of 120 rollfilm that i never got processed.
I see a Go board which sadly doesn’t get much action.
I see a Canon 17-40L lens which, sadly, doesn’t get much action.
